Peyia is a municipality located in the island of Cyprus, in Paphos district and it has about 10,000 citizens. In regards to Paphos, it is located 14km north and to the Akamas Peninsula it lies at the southern end, inland from Coral Bay. Peyia has a town center with multiple shops, banks, diners, a church and a police station. Due to the fact that Peyia is located on a hillside, some parts of it have amazing views of the Coral Bay and Paphos.

In general, Peyia has a temperate warm climate with dry, long, and hot summers. During the months of December, January and February, the daily sunshine hours are 5, 5, and 6 respectively. In March, April and May the daily sunlight hours are 7, 8, and 10 respectively. In June, July and August sunshine hours per day increase up to 12, 12 and 11 respectively. During the months of September, October and November the sunlight hours per day drop to 10, 8 and 7 respectively.

The maximum daytime temperature during the winter months of December, January and February is 17°C, 15°C and 15°C respectively. For the spring season and the months of March, April and May, the maximum daytime temperatures are 17°C, 20°C and 24°C respectively. During the summer season and months of June, July and August, the maximum daytime temperatures are 29°C, 32°C, and 32°C respectively. Lastly for the months of September, October and November, the maximum daytime temperatures are 29°C, 25°C, and 21°C respectively.
