Kouklia is one of the various villages located in the island of Cyprus. Specifically, it is in the Paphos District and it is approximately 16km from Paphos city. The village is actually built where Old Paphos used to be or else refer to as “Palaepaphos.” According to myths, Aphrodite was born there. Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love and beauty and since Old Paphos had become the center for her worship during ancient times, tourists love visiting Kouklia to see what the myths describe.

Tourists also love visiting Kouklia due to its amazing coastline and charming hills. Around Kouklia there are a lot of beaches where you can enjoy playing water sports and swimming in crystal clear water. Apart from the beaches, there are also a lot of archeological sites to visit when you are in Kouklia. Furthermore, Kouklia has cool hiking spots, like for instance The Aphrodite Hills, which have extraordinary views and sceneries of spring blossom.

Kouklia experiences a Mediterranean climate meaning very soft winters and hot summers with about 16 inches of rain yearly, which indicates its dry climate. The average high temperature for Kouklia for the months of December, January and February are 19°C, 17°C and 17°C respectively. For March, April and May, the average high temperatures are 19°C, 22°C, and 25°C respectively. As for June, July and August, they have average high temperatures of 28°C, 30°C, and 31°C respectively. Moving on to September, October and November, they have average high temperatures of 29°C, 27°C, and 23°C respectively.
