Protaras is located in the Famagusta area of the island of Cyprus. It is a very popular vacation spot especially for younger crowds and families. It has amazingly beautiful beaches, clear skies and clean waters. There are multiple different beaches, some quitter than others, which gives tourists the ability to choose between an exciting day at the beach and a relaxing day at the beach. Protaras is described by many as “the land of windmills” to remember the past and maintain its quality.
Protaras is also only 12 minutes away by car from Ayia Napa and thus you can combine a more family like atmosphere with a party city. If for example you want to spend a peaceful morning by the beach that will be less crowded, then you will go to one of the beaches located in Protaras. If at night however you feel like escaping to the rhythm of music and being a part of a huge crowd, then in only few minutes you can arrive at Ayia Napa, the party city. Cape Greco is also only 10 minutes away from the center of Protaras by car, which is one of the various stunning locations to visit while being in Cyprus.
